Welcome, Patricia Aldas - Community Health Worker

Patricia is Culmore Clinic’s new Community Health Worker (CHW). This is a role Culmore Clinic has hoped to fill for a long time and so is thrilled to have Patricia starting this week! In this role, Patricia will be responsible for introducing the wider community of potential patients to Culmore Clinic and helping them navigate and access healthcare services at or through The Clinic.

Her work will involve sharing information and resources to encourage community members to adopt healthy behaviors. This new role works well with Culmore Clinic’s integrated approach to care management and community outreach.

Patricia will recruit new patients through community engagement activities, promote health and wellness within the community, and establish relationships with other local organizations to widen the resources available to our patients. She will provide guidance on healthcare access, patient registration assistance, and referrals to complimentary resources such as food and shelter assistance.

Patricia joins Culmore Clinic after her 13 year tenure at United Healthcare Community Plan.

Welcome, Jennifer King - Nurse Practitioner

We are so glad to have Jennifer King join our staff as a Nurse Practitioner. Jennifer has been a dedicated healthcare provider for over a decade. While she’s only just begun we have seen how she delivers compassionate, evidence-based care to our diverse patient population. She is fluent in medical Spanish and is able to provide care in chronic diseases, acute conditions, and women’s health across the lifespan. She joins us most recently from being home full-time with her children during the pandemic. Now that they are a bit older, Jennifer is excited to return to a clinic setting. She comes to Virginia via Tennessee, and we’re so glad she did!
